DISPOSABLE CONCENTRIC PROBE

This stimulating probe is the most accurate of the three disposable probes. It is accurate to about 0.5mm when stimulating through a layer of tissue. In order to stimulate through any tissue covering the nerve, the current must be increased. The probe is designed so that the shaft may have a single bend of up to 30 degrees put in it by the surgeon if using a microscope.

DISPOSABLE MONOPOLAR PROBE

This stimulating probe is intended for stimulating across the bulk of a tumour to determine whether a nerve is lying behind a structure, and is not designed for accurate and selective nerve stimulation. However, accuracy can be improved by inserting the ground electrode as close as possible to the surgical area, and by using the minimum current that will stimulate the nerve.

DISPOSABLE PEDICLE SCREW PROBE

The Pedicle Screw Probe has a fully Teflon insulated shaft terminating in a 3 mm ball tip, with an integral handle, lead wire, and touch-proof connector. The Pedicle Screw Probe is ideal for testing pedicle integrity after creating the pilot hole for the pedicle screw, and will determine whether the pedicle is breached.
